Norton AntiVirus Error

Could someone help me with this error, I have not even ran Norton for a
couple of weeks but I get this error message 5 or 6 times a day for no
reason I could be listening to music typing or anything and it will appear.
The fix didn't work I uninstalled & re-installed like they said but it is
getting irritating now

Here is the message:

Ummm..excuse me if I am missing something here, but the fix for your problem
is in the link you posted. did you bother to click on the link and read it?
You simply follow the instructions...

You need to remove all of NAV. Symantec has a habit of plainbg files on all
parts of your HDD. You need to remove them manually after using add/remove.
Then go into the registry and delete all keys referencing NAV/Symantec. Be
sure to backup your registry before doing this. Then you can make a complete
NEW install.

Your problem message should be gone.

Good luck and go slow.

Regards,
