Norton Antivirus 2003 Pro and XP

I'm trying to remove NAV 2003 pro from my computer and I keep getting
ERROR 1721. I've done everything suggested on the Symentec and
Windows update pages, but now i'm getting and error s32EVNT1.dll error
message.

Does anyone have any clues, cause i'm just about ready to "boot" the
computer out the bloody window.

Are you up-to-date on your Windows Updates? I'd do that first...then
re-install NAV 2003, then uninstall it.

Use the above utility to remove all traces of a previous version of Norton AntiVirus.

Don't toss the computer. Just Norton's. There ARE alternatives to the fluff
filled system intrusive Symantec software you know.

Search symantec for rnav.exe utility - It should work ;
get also symcln.exe ( or something like that ) , to remove the
leftovers .
Finally , ( if possible ) restore the system ( NAV 2003 sets a system
restore point upon install )
