Norton Anti-Virus and SP1a

After loading SP1A with Norton Anti-Virus ON, I am having
problems with searching (Blank gray Search Companion
window), NONE for various file types including Internet
Explorer, Drive, etc ...




Any ideas on how I can recover the file associations - I
don't have a back-up of the registry file, or any other
backup for that matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Set folder options/view to see hidden and system files. Locate the
srchasst.inf file under C:\Windows\Inf, right-click it and choose "install".
See if this helps.
