Norton Ainti-Virus won't run now

This is a continuation of the message posted with the
subject:

Security Patch from Microsoft has caused problems.

My Norton Anti-virus won't launch so I cannot scan my
computer for the (obvious to me now) that has infected my
computer supposedly fron Microsoft with the attachment
file named: "upgrade295.exe"

What can I do to get this virus removed if mny Norton
Anti-Virus won't even run? I kept getting the same
MEMORY
ACCESS VIOLATION IN MODULE KERNEL32 AT 3773:36592533
(each time this number changes) whne I click on the
program to launch it.

PLEASE HELP!

You should never open attatchments that you think come
from Microsoft. They are most likely bogus and the
attatchment may contain a virus.
