Tony

I've just installed Norton antivirus 2003.

but when i try to run it, i get an error

Error: "Unable to open the antivirus\tasks\mycomp.sca
file. Please make sure the file exists on your system and
the path and filename are correct" (3019,3)

it then asks me to fix the problem by doing the
following:-

If you are using NTFS, then continue on to the next set
of instructions. If not, then skip to the To verify that
the Windows Task Scheduler is enabled section.

Restart the computer, and then log on as Administrator.
Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
Navigate to the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Symantec

Right-click the Symantec folder, and then click
Properties.
Click the Security tab.
Click the "Everyone" group in the first pane.
In the "Permissions" pane, verify that "Allow" is checked
for Full Control.
If the "Allow" entry has not been checked, then check it.
Click OK.

i get as far as 'symantec' i then right click and press
properties,
This when i have a problem!!!!!! where is the security
tab?
please can somebody throw some light on what i'm doing
wrong.

Thanks
Tony

Go to TOOLS | FOLDER OPTIONS | VIEW and uncheck use simple file
sharing. This will show the security tab.
