norton internet security problems

I installed norton internet security 2003 home edition on my XP home edition computer. But, at startup, i get the following message: 'Norton Antivirus has encountered an internal program error (3009,1003)'.......and also when I try to open norton internet security, i get this message: 'Symantec Integrator could not initialize teh current frame class. Please make sure that you did not directly run the integrator.' I have reinstalled it multiple times.....i get the same problem. The Norton website does not help me figure out what i need to do to fix this. Can anyone help?
