norbots.htm

I have uploaded a form on to my website and when the form is completed
instead of it going to the e-mail address requested, a 404 - page cannot be
found error message appears and I cannot figure out why. I am sure I am doing
something silly.
The page is http://www.gnphones.com/summersizzlers.htm and the answers
should e-mail to (e-mail address removed). Help please!

Nortbots:
You should only get the onSubmit="location.href='_derived/nortbots.htm' in
disc based webs or in online webs that have not been
published using FP http mode to a server running the FP SE

FYI
the nortbots stand for NORunTimewebBOTS
- meaning the action is not server based as a run time webbot tool

FP SE are installed on the server and it did work last week transmitting data
via e-mail ok. But now when I upload all i get is the norbots message. How
can I fix it?

Have you contacted your host about the problem? They may need to run a
health check on the extensions.

Plus, did you http publish the site to your remote server, or FTP?

I used FTP to publish. I actually reinstalled FP SE's on my server - they
have a menu that allows you to do that and it verifies it has been done.

As I said, you must *http* publish to a site using the FP server extensions,
in order for forms and components to work.

Also, using FTP *corrupts* the extensions, which will now probably have to
be reinstalled on the host server.

Thanks for that !

Have you done up a custom confirmation page? Have you published that page?
If so, then that's why there's a 404 error - which is a "Page not found"
error returned by the server.

Check the form properties for all settings being correct.

I had the same problem with my forms I created with FrontPage. I followed
Tom's advise. He was right. I had a corruption issue. I re-installed my FP
extensions on my host server and now everything works perfect again.
