nonopening folders

When I double-click a folder, it searches instead of
opens. I have to right-click and go to open. I don't know
how it happened but I would love to fix it. If anybody
knows how to do this, please e-mail me and let me know.

Start - Run - regedit.exe

Open the left pane to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
In the right pane, double click Default and enter the exact four
characters
none
