"Problem with shortcut" -- no option to search, just delete

Hello,

I recently got a new computer with XP Pro installed on it. When I used to
have XP Home, when a shortcut target DID move or change, it would search
automatically or let me browse. Now with XP Pro, all it does is tell me I
can delete or not delete the *.lnk when it "has changed or moved"

(I have this missing shortcut target problem often because when it usually
happens I have clicked in the recent doc's list, as one of my programs puts
its save files in a special folder that Windows doesn't know how to find.
However, in XP Home when this happened and the shortcut couldn't be found, I
could browse to the suspect target location, quickly double click the special
folder and access my correct target. THEN, XP Home would remember that
special location in the special type of folder for future recent doc access.)

This isn't a huge deal; I would just love to be able to redirect shortcuts
to the actual target when opening them.

Thank you Kelly, this worked excellently. The dword was in Policies on my
system, not in Explorer, but directions entirely sufficient!
