nonconsecutive footnotes in Word 2002

Hi, My document got damaged from a corrupted table. I
have solved the problem and now I can print the document,
but the footnotes are not consecutive. The first footnote
is a 3, and then on one page the footnotes jump from #27
to #47. In former version of Word, I could fix this
problem by clicking "accept all changes" but there is no
such menu in 2002! I have Windows 2000 Professional.

On the Reviewing toolbar, there is an Accept All Changes in Document choice
on the menu that drops from the Accept Change button.
