non-USB Steering Wheel

Hi,

a few years back i bhought a steering wheel (which costed
me 150euro). It worked fine, but it doesn't work at all
under winXP (Home). I contacted Logitech and they simply
said they don't support non-USB products for WinXP.

The steering wheel is the Wingman Formula Force, i tried
installing it in the gamepost, parallel and usb
(converter). But i couldn't get it to work.

Does anyone have an idea how to get my wheel to work ? I
like to play a few more years with it ... Especcially
with the good looking racing games that are available.

Thanks

Any non-usb game devices would have to use the standard gameport drivers
that come in XP. Those drivers are limited and will not be updated.

If the controller attaches to a game port, have you just plugged it in and
then gone into Control Panel/Game Controllers to Add it? Generally,
software for game port devices is no longer supported on Windows XP, however
the operating system itself usually will recognize the controller and
install it for you.
