NoAdware

I'm pretty sure my pc is affected with spyware parasites and if I don't do something soon I think the computer could get overloaded with rubbish! is NoAdware the right software to solve the problem?

tools

also do a full virus scan

I've not personally used that program.

I recommend starting with the free version of Ad-aware from here

and as a preventative measure download Spywareblaster and Spywareguard free
from here:
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

For info NEVER use a program advertised by a pop-up. That's like giving in
to blackmail and the software you get may just make the problem worse.
