NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS

An odd thing happened this morning. Two PC's sitting next
to each other suddenly blue screen with the error message
NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS 0x0000000035.
No new hardware or software has been added (well none
that I am aware of and not that the user is admitting to).
Last Known config... still blue screens.

Any ideas anyone?
