no winhelp.exe in Vista

Is this just another way to further irritate customers and make legacy
software not work properly? I mean come on, is it that hard to fix up the
winhelp.exe program from XP and get it up for download?

When is winhelp supposed to come online in the Microsoft Download center like
they promised?

Is there a third party winhelp viewer anywhere?

Winhelp and other XP features have been removed in Vista:

Well I know that... :)

That's why I'm looking for the winhelp.exe that microsoft claims will be made
available (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607) or a third party help
viewer.

There's no excuse for not getting it done on time and included into the
operating system release. It's just another indication that this OS was
shipped before it was ready.

I didn't know that MS would be making it available via download.

Excerpt from article:

"... Users who want to view 32-bit .hlp files must download the program from
the Microsoft Download Center, and then install it on their computers. The
download for Windows Help is still in development and will be available in
early 2007."
