In an simple environment where there are 1 Windows 2000
server and several workstation. I need to reinstall my
server and have no good backup of 'system state'. When I
am fineshed reinstalling my server with same settings of
users and groups. The Workstations keep logging errorcode
5719 "No Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller is
available for domain" and they will not run logon scripts.
I believe there is a "security key" that is now out of
sync with the domain-controller. Is there a way to solve
this problem without reconfiguring every workstation?
( There can be a awfull lot of them)

Hans,

You will have to join each workstation to your new domain. The computer
accounts were in the old, no-longer-there domain. Doing this simply creates
the computer account along with the secure channel in your new domain.

Cary
