No video sound in windows movie maker

When I import a video file into WMM and play it, it has no sound. It use to
work and it is a .avi file from my helmet camera. I dowloaded codecs and
everything and it playes in WMP with sound but not in WMM. I just don't
understand how something just stops working. I have windoes vista premium.

What sort of avi is it? There are over 800 different types. Use avicodec to
find out.

The problem with some files is, that although they work sometimes, they are
not truly compatible with movie maker and a little change to your pc can
mean they no longer work, which is a pain, but often there is little you cna
do to get it to work again.

Convert the avi to wmv and use that.
