no user name to logon

after program stopped responding windows would not
shutdown, i had to reset. the system was set to automatic
logon. now i get a logon screen but no user to select.
all i can do is shutdown or restart

If you hold down the shift key at the logon screen you should see Administrator listed

I tried at the logon screen and tried holding it while
windows loaded. Still no user or aministrator.
