No System Information

Instead of displaying system information, the System Information pane
in System Information in System Tools displays the following message:

The connection to could not be established. Check to see that the
network path name is correct, that you have sufficient permission to
access Windows Management Instrumentation, and that the Windows
Management Instrumentation service is started on the computer.

Services in Administrative Tools in the Control Panel reflects that the
Windows Management Instrumentation service is started. I log on as
Administrator.
What do I need to change to correctly display the system information?

Click on the Action Menu and then on the Properties Menu. Make sure
Local Computer is selected.

Thanks. I'm into the WMI console, and clicking the Action menu and then
Properties, gives this message under the General tab.

Failed to connect to <local computer>
because "Interface: Class not registered"

What's that mean?

Are you trying to obtain info from a NT4.0 computer across the network?

Thanks. I'm just trying to get the info off the local machine.
