No Sufficient Rights!!!! to access GPO

hi

we are running windows 2000 server and our active
Directory got corrputed , hence we had reinstall it again ,
we noted that we are not able to access the Domain
controller security policy and Domain Security policy,
both of them are throwing a error, the exact error
statement is

Group Policy error
Failed to open the Group Policy Object, you may not have
appropriate rights

Details
The network Path was not found

as i had logged into system as administratot this error is
perplexing!! we don't know how active directory got
corrupted in the first place. what could be the reason


any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated .

Shane,

Can you provide the following information.

1. If you bring up a command prompt and type "NET SHARE" without the quotes
can you find in the list two shares called SYSVOL and NETLOGON?
2. In the event viewer under the file replication log find the most recent
13501 event. What event ID's come after that most recent 13501 event?
3. When you did the reinstall please describe how you performed this action.
