Hi all,

we have got a domain controllers running windows 2000 server. In AD apart
from default domain controller policy and default domain policy , no other
policies have been defined.

in this situation when computers running windows XP boot, no latency is
observed when apply computer settings.

But we've got lotus note running in our environment. to run this program
users must in power users group in their local computer. with the current
default policies in AD, we are having problem to run this program.

I've created an OU and moved the PCs in it. i've created a gpo and imported
the compatws template in the security settings and applied to the OU. Now
users can run LOTUS but when the PCs boot they take very long time to apply
the comuter settings (5 -10 mins).

please advise .

Thanks and regards

Hi,

Enable userenv debug logging and look for the delay in the logs after
restarting the machine. It will help you get to the souce of the
length delay.

How to enable user environment debug logging in retail builds of
Windows
