GPO Error

[Guest]

I am repeatedly getting the following error on a Windows 2000 Server. I have
searched the web but mostly found articles relating to domain controllers.
This server resides in an Active Directory domain with many other servers
that are not experiencing the issue. The error logged in the Application
Event Log is:

Source: Userenv
Category: None
Event ID: 1000

Description: Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO The file must
be present at the location <>. (). Group Policy processing aborted.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how much this help but you should check:

Also you should enable uservenv.log and winlogon.log and check them for
possible errors:
