No success burning the RC-1 ISO file

I have read the posts all day today and tried Nero v.6&7 imageburn and Roxio
to burn this RC-1 release. I had no problem with the last release. I have
followed the instructions to a T to get this release to burn correctly and it
won't do it. I have burned many DVD's but I am at a loss to what is going on
with this one. It is getting expensive. I have over ten coasters and that
is just today. Not counting the ones from the past few days. I have
downloaded the file 2x just to be sure I got the file all right. But I still
get the same thing. I have used Magic ISO to extract the files and burn but
it won't work for this file. Any one have any suggestions? I am on a
mission now.

Good evening to all. I too am having the same problem. I am more lucky than
Zimmerhnd as I only have 4 coasters. I have tried Nero 6, ISORecorder, and
Deepburner and nothing is working. Please assist us in getting this issue
fixed. Thank you in advance to all who post here.

Make sure the file is large, like 2.5 G or larger (sorry I don't remember
the exact size). Use Nero Burning ROM and go under Recorder-Burn Image, and
select the .iso file.

The DVD should boot without problems. Unless you have a corrupted download.

How did you download it, with the download manager or something else?

I tried the download manager, but it kept erroring out saying that it could
not handle the download. I used Download Accelerator Plus just like last
time. I had no problem downloading it. I actually thought about being corrupt
so I have downloaded it several times. It is over 2.5 Gig in size. I too get
to between 1-2 % with Nero then it errors out. Thank you for the reply. Any
suggestions will be tried and appreciated.

did you check the file hash?
for 32 bit
md5 22486E815A38FEFFD9667317DFEEC55A
sha1 E00B4EBBC81FB420CF047973B95A9CFB7CDF51B7
crc-32 B3519FCA

64bit
md5 F3A385AAE6E4DEA9226E31D9F1148B56
sha1 8E4DE7A72C828A3543FF1663243EB0836DA07EEA
crc-32 59C867D0
if you need any other hashes i would be happy to provide them but most
likely you did that already on my pc i just gave up burning it (my issue is
bad software and a dvd burner that cant tell a cd from a dvd rw) and just
installed it in vmware virtual server by mounting the iso

On coaster #11. I re-installed Nero v.7 and tried the burn disc image. The
wizard started and verified the burn. I just checked the disc and it is
another coaster. The size of the file is 2.646.....GB and I get the
additional read me note. I am going to try to manipulate the burn image to
the hard drive and then proceed (if I can) to burn the image to the DVD. Oh
yeah, did I mention I tried this already today. I had to go and wipe my temp
files out because I had used up most of my c drive space 10 x 2.6Gb every
time I burn :). Any more suggestions while I try again. If nothing else I
have educated myself today, by reading half of the web info on burning ISO
files. Thanks for any comments. Kevin

I usually do the first one using a DVD-RW and rarely waste a DVD-R. The RW
boots just fine for me BTW.

Go to your 1st you have to have a dvd burner and then open up the dvd
software and go to burn image (which i did not do twice) if you don't go to
burn image it just copies and won't work...once i went to dvd software and
clicked on burn image the dvd worked flawlessly.

My suggestion is probably a bit late now but it would have saved you a lot
of discs if you had just used a DVD-RW. :)

I downloaded with Free Download Manager, RC1 iso is 2.52 GB, burned with
ImgBurn at 2x
on a Maxell DVD+R which gives a disk with 2,709,782,528 Bytes. I couldn't
get Nero to work on Vista, hence the ImgBurn & the Free Download Manager
which are free and were pointed out on this group. No problems at all. Lots
of folks recommend the slow burn speed. Check the file hash as sims pointed
out.
