vista and iso files

Now that windows has a beefed up burner, i was wondering if - e.g. when i
click on a .iso file and hit 'burn' - vista will burn the .iso contents
rather than the iso file itself.

Can vista interpret .iso files and read their contents in order to burn it
or not?
