I am unable to get any kind of sound on my Windows XP
Professional. No typing sounds, no music... nothing. I
believe it might have been overriden by another program,
but am unable to fix it. Please help.
Thanks,
Christine

First thing you check is to see if your computer sounds
have somehow been muted. Right click on the "speaker"
icon in your task bar and check the settings. Check your
volume settings and If you see an X in any box
marked "Muted"....remove it.
