No Sound

I lost my sound so I deleted the sound card via the
device manager. When I reboot my PC (to let Windows
reinstall it) I get sound when the desktop appears, but
after Windows reinstalls my sound card the sound is gone
again.

Any suggestions??

Steve, go to the SC manufacturers website and see if they have updated
drivers for XP.
