I hope someone can help.
I am running Windows XP . My sound on my PC dropped out
to having no volume. I can still hear sounds if I have
the volume turned all the way up and put speaker to my
ear. I've went through the entire sound troubleshooter
with nothing helping. I have contacted my pc's
manufacturer with no help. Is this a sound card problem ?
Thanks.

Try different speakers first. I assume of course that you've checked the
volume control (often the icon is on the taskbar, if not you can look
in Control Panel) and it is turned up.

As I said I went through the troubleshooter completely. Different speakers,
volume controls, reinstall drivers, bios, etc. still no sound . Anyone have
any ideas ?

Sorry, I didn't know the details of "went through the entire
troubleshooter" and that it entailed physically using different
speakers. Swap out your sound card for a known-working one and see if
that helps.
