no sound

i downloaded xp and no longer have any sound...I chose xp
to replace windows me...can sombody help????

If you mean that you UPGRADED from Windows ME to Windows XP: If your PC is
a brand name like Dell, Gateway, Compaq/HP etc., go to the web site of the
maker and download and install the Windows XP compatible sound driver for
your system model number. Or, if you purchased a brand name sound card like
Sound Blaster Live, go to the maker's site and download and install the
Windows XP compatible driver for your specific sound card.
