i hooked up a new monitor kds xtream flat to a hp tower the old monitor went out but it had a mic and another wire that hooked up in back of tower the new monitor don't so i am thinking there is a new driver i need to download but don't know what. can u help me

Some monitors have mics and speakers perhaps your old one did. If so,
you now need to get a pair of speakers.
