I have a P4P800C motherboard in a custom case with onboard sound. I just
reformatted and I have no sound. I installed the driver... i think. There are
no yellow markings in the device manager. Anyone good enough to use remote
assistance? If not, I will accept any help I can get.

Go to Windows Update and select the Custom Install option over the Express
Install option. On the left hand side, choose Optional Hardware Updates and
see if there is an update for your audio hardware. If so, apply the update.

Otherwise, make sure that the Master Volume and Wave Volume controls are set
to something that is usually audible (i.e. in the middle).

If you use internal computer speakers, make sure that there is no headphone
jack plugged in. If you use regular speakers, make sure that they are on and
plugged in.
