no sound

i have dell inspiron 8600 laptop. when using s-video connection to view dvds
through laptop onto tv picture is perfect but there is no sound on tv - only
on laptop speakers. please advise me on solution.
 
You have to connect sound cables from your computer sound outputs to either
your tv or stereo inputs.
