No sound with DVDs in WMP10 (or 9!)

I have a DVD plug-in for WMP which used to work OK but now I only get video
with no sound. Currently running WMP 10. XP SP2. Video is perfect. But
totally silent. Sounds works since other sources (e.g. MP3) are fine.

Any ideas? I've tried re-installing DVD plug-in.

Might be the DVD sound codec you were using for WMP 8 and 9 is no
longer compatible with WMP 10. You can try uninstalling the sound
codec and reinstalling but if it's not compatible, you're going to
need to download new DVD codecs for WMP 10.

Look for "dvdpack.msi". They're free DVD codecs that work with WMP 8
and 9 but I have no idea if they'll work with WMP 10. But since
they're free, you've nothing to lose by trying.
