No sound when opening and closing the Windows

There is no sound when I open and close the windows, also, the msn messager.
Plz help!
 
Go to the Control Panel, click on Sounds and got through the list of options
that you are having problems with, click on browse and select a sound. When
you are finished, click save and reboot your pc. For MSN Messenger, you turn
