No sound - sometimes

Hi

I can get perfect sound from my PC while using Winamp or Media Player.
However, there is no output from Adobe Audition although the program itself
appears to be working ok. Also there is no Windows sounds when starting up
or closing down my machine.

Any ideas anybody?
