No sound on AIW PRO 9000 when capturing using analog input

Hi all,

Got a AIW Pro 9000 all is connected correctly (sound output of the 'AIW to
line in of my sound card)
in TV mode, all is okay, got image and sound, but when I capture from the
external connecteur (the purple one, with input svideo/composite and
left/righ audio) using SVHS or composite, damm I got no sound,
in fact I connected my Sat box on the purple connector with svideo and 2
cinch but nothing, nada !!
It is like the AIW don't switch the input of external connector to is own
line-out.
I tried with my cam recoder (just to tes) : same thing

When I choose s-video or composite in TV application (or virtualdub) the
image is correctly switchted but sound goes of at the same time.

Anyone success this ?

Thanks

PS Got Hercules AIW 9000 Pro with latest catalyst and shuttle SB51G with XP

Should be in the FAQ - simple answer:

Volume App, recording sources, pick the input on your sound card
corresponding to the input which the AIW is plugged into.

EG: Volume Control, Options, Properties, Recording and Select the right
source.

Thank you, but I guess you did not read correctly my post !
The AIW sound output is connected to line in of my sound card, and it is
working fine because I've got sound in TV mode (of course, as you said we
need to select this input and correct the volume control in sound control
panel).

My problem is when I capture cam/video using the ATI purple connector
(composite and 2 stéreo cinch). As soon as I select composite in ATI TV
application there is no sound coming to the line out of AIW (so also to the
line-in connector of the sound card)

Of course if I want to do it simple, I disconnect ATI line out of my sound
card and connect the cam/sat line out to the sound card line-in, but I don't
want to plug/unplug each time I switch from TV to Sat.

thanks

Try and get hold of a CD-Rom sound lead and run that to Aux-In on your
Sound-Card.

But if all you hear is Silence when using composite in.... That's a
different problem.
