no sound from YouTube

I'm listening to Itunes radio right now. I can listen to CDs on the Windows
media player, I reinstalled my Sound Blaster software. I get no sound on
YouTube or my normal windows chime thingies (that it used to do) In control
panel there is no recognition of any "sound devices" in order to attempt to
adjust the volume.
Any suggestions?

No. I tried going to "services.exe" to make sure my Windows audio was
started, and it was. i have made no further progress.
