No sound from Media Player

I've just installed a new sound card to replace the built-in sound on my
Windows XP machine. Everything seems to be working except Windows Media
player which only outputs sound on the built-in sound. All other sounds
including iTunes and computer/game sounds are coming through the new sound
card. Any ideas?
