What are you playing - videos, DVD movies, music, animations ------?
Have you tried
1) Turn up your speaker volume?
2) Turn up the sound card's volume control?
2a) also the volume control ont he particular player being used - this may
not be the "master" control.
3) Update sound card drivers
4) check the speaker cable connection?
If all the above fail to help can you give an example of the types of files
causing the problem? It would help to know what sites you've encountered
this problem on -- eg wav files (music/sound) or mp3(music) or avi (video)
or ra/rm (real(player) media) or qt (quicktime music/movie) or
flv (flash file).
And also the player/s used to play the sounds/movies/multi-media.
Also, please give details of the files that play OK.
Perhaps, it is the particular files that are recorded at low volume (not
something you can do much about).
but.
