no sound card found

Hi everyone I have a HP 1430 media center pc and I'm can not get vista to
find my on board sound card...can anyone help with this?
 
According to the HP support site, drivers are only available for XP. A
search on Vista within the HP 1430 page did not return any results. Sorry.
