no security tab under properties

When I go to folder/file properties there is no security tab, the closest
thing is sharing. I am running Win XP Pro Version 2002 SP1, and my drive is
in NTFS format. I have looked for advanced security settings that will
enable this feature and haven't found anything yet. Any ideas? Thanks in
advance for any help.

Go to Control Panel -> Folder Options.
Click on the View tab.
Scroll down to the bottom and remove the check mark from the
box next to "Use Simple File sharing".
The Security tab should now be visible.
