no security tab

I am running XP Pro with NTFS. Recently, I copy a folder from a
USB drive to my HD. I took the ownership of the folder but found
that most of the files and subfolders in the folder do not have
security tab when their properties window is opened. In fact, most
of the files only have a "general" tab. Some subfolders have
"general", "sharing" and "customize". The common feature is that
they do not have the security tab.

How do I make the security tab appear? Thanks.

I forgot to mention that other folders do have the security tab
except this one foler I just copied.

Not sure if this will change the circumstances, but try moving the folder
instead of copying it.
