No response on F6 key

Greetings! I needed to wipe my HDD's and do a fresh install. When I get to
the very opening ststement that says to press F6 to install as third party
scsi driver, nothing happens when I press F6. I have the driver ready to go
in the floppy but it ignores my input and goes with the install, then tells
me it cannot find a HDD. I'm running an AMD XP64+ 3700 with an ASUS K8V SE
Deluxe Mobo, two 160gb Maxtor HDD's that will be set on Raid 0 if I can get
XP to find the HDD's . Pretty frustrated as I don't know what I'm doing wrong
here!

Check for a F-lock key on the keyboard. On my Logitech keyboard, the
function keys do not work until I hit the F-lock key.

Got to the point where it gives me an option to pick the correct SATA raid
driver, I select the one for XP, set up rolls on, then get to where it asks
if you want to install, repair, or exit the XP setup. I pick install and get
a message that it can't find any disks. It is a Promise 378 chip on the mobo.

Have the 'F' lock on. For some reason all the other 'F' keys get a response
just not the F6. ???
