When deploying Windows 2000 through RIS, the
message "Press F6 if you need to install a third party
SCSI or RAID driver" appears at the beginning of setup.
This is necessary when installing on computers with SATA
drives so that Windows sees the drive. When deploying
Windows XP Professional, the F6 message does not appear.
I added the appropriate SATA driver to the image using
the $oem$ option, but Setup does not see the drive. I
then installed an IDE hard drive in addition to the SATA
drive. Setup completes on the IDE drive, and once
Windows fully loads, the SATA drive is available -- which
indicates that Windows did pull the driver from the $oem$
directory.
Is there a way to get the F6 functionality with XP? Or
is there some way for me to have XP use the $oem$ driver
during the text portion of Setup?
