ahci controller windows setup

windows setup isn't recognizing my sata drive. If I press F6 during setup to
specify other drivers it wont find any and when you press S to select a
source it says there is no floppy disk.

I tried using nLite to make a bootable iso that had the controller but it
didn't seem to work. Can I get the installer to look for a CD that has the
files instead?

Have you read your mobo manual on installing winxp using this controller, it
usually envolves BIOS settings.
If you have to install third party drivers via the F6 option this has to be
done from a floopy.
The floppy drivers are usually available from your mobo cd, ie make floppy
or some such
Once again read your mobo manual

There was a setting in Bios that would enable me to disable naitive support
for SATA. So I guess it was some kind of pata emultion and I was able to get
past that part.
