No response after click on a javascript link

The no responsive links are Internet Banking and any javascript shortcuts,
despite after re-installed java script software and also the updates, they
remain no response.

However, when I use my other PC of same WinXPHome & IE6 SP3 with same java
software, I have no problems to enter these links.

Can any one help to solve this problem?

I think you are confusing Java and javascript, they are not the same thing,

Most computers have no need for Java, and since it introduces some security
issues better not to install it unless needed.

Most likely reasons for javascript not working are a change to the security
zone settings, or an update. It may even be that the site doesn't work
correctly inIE7/8. In any case using IE6 is a risky proposition, and you
should change this browser before you get hit by malware.

You could try Firefox or Opera.

Also I'd run a scan with Malwarebytes' free scanner if you've been using IE6
for general browsing. You don't know what nasties you might've picked-up.

Hello,

Which is the site in question? Java and JavaScript are two different things,
you most likely are referring to Java.

Try uninstalling Java from Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs and
then reinstalling it back from http://www.java.com/getjava/

If it still does not work, start IE6 > Tools > Manage Add-ons and make sure
Java add-ons are enabled.

eg: All the javascript links at microsoft update site are no response when
click on anyone of them. But no problem on http://... links.

I did uninstalled JAVA, cleared all history & cookies, temporary files and
re-installed JAVA2 Runtime and JAVA (TM)6 Update17, also re-installed IE6,
but still can't get the javacsript shortcuts (links) to open.

When I use another PC of same O/S & IE6 with similar JAVA via same ISP
networks, no problem to enter the same javascript shortcuts (links).

Any help?
