Javascript problem continues!!

I posted this message the other day:-

Not sure if this is in the right place, I'm sure someone will tell me if it
isn't ;o). I have visited some web sites and tried to play some videos and
they all state that I have got Javascript turned off. I have followed the
instructions to turn Javascript on by checking Internet Options and enabling
active scripting, (and it was turned on all along!!). Anyway, it still won't
work and the web sites still say that I have got Javascript turned off! I
KNOW it is turned on and have checked a number of times and it is definitely
ON.

I am using Internet Explorer 7, does anyone have any idea why this might be
or a solution to correct this? I asked elsewhere and just got the usual
replies telling me to ditch Explorer but I am quite happy with it, just not
this particular problem (which may not even be Explorers fault anyway!), So,
before I kick the living sh....er doody out of my PC, can anyone PLEASE help
me to convince my PC that Javascript is already on and to please do as it's
told? I have even uninstalled and re-installed Javascript and that still
didn't fix it and also downloaded the latest Flash Player, (which I already
had too), as someone else told me that might fix it, it didn't!!!

In response to this, I received a reply from Frank Saunders very kindly told
me to do the following (please see my further question below Frank's reply):-

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en

2. Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start | Run | Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start | Run | Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijack ware anyway):

So, I did all this and the problem still persists. Everytime I visit web
sites, it states that Javascript is turned off, even though I have
continually checked and it is most definitely ON! Does anyone have any idea
why, although Javascript is on, web sites detect it as turned off and will
not let me access certain clickable options? It's driving me absolutely mad
now!! Any help gratefully received!

Thank you in advance for any help anyone can give me!!)

Which sites? What is the *exact* message?

Have you also enabled "Scripting of Java applets"? Did you reboot your
PC?

How did you uninstall/reinstall Javascript? Is it possible you're
thinking of Java instead? Did you check Event Viewer for errors?

Maybe you need to uninstall/reinstall IE7. Here's a good resource:

I'm curious to know if you would have the same problem in IE6. Before
you reinstall IE7, check to see if the problem goes away while running
IE6.

The games may need Java rather than, or along with Javascript.

Under Internet Options, Security, Custom Level, enable "Scripting of
Java Applets".

Under the Advanced tab, do you have Java (Sun) or or MS Virtual Machine
selected?

Also run the Java test on this page:
