If I try to view the contents of a floppy in Windows Explorer it does not
refresh. For example when I put in a disk after a computer restart I see the
contents of it but any subsequent disks contents only show the first disk's
contents.....i can't get it to refresh

Hi,
I would love a response from Microsoft on this one! It seems that with XP
they have managed to screw up the most universal form of data transfer since
the cassette tape. I've found that if you insert a second floppy disk and
copy a file from your machine to it, it will wipe the floppy, copy all the
files from the first disk plus the one from your machine. Original
information from second floppy DESTROYED!!!!! :-(

If you want a response from MS you need to contact MS tech support.
This is a peer newsgroup. MS does not provide official support here.

The floppy drive seems doesn't detect disk change. There is a dedicated line
on the cable which is supposed to report that event. You may need to replace
the floppy drive.
