No printer drivers on my PC

I have just inherited an ancient Canon BJ-200e bubblejet printer from
my wife, to replace a printer that I had to sell. The installation
disk is long lost (and wouldn't have had an XP driver on it anyway,
it's too old).

I tried to install the printer using the "Add Printer" wizard in
Windows XP, only to find that the drop-down list that one is supposed
to be able to use to select the appropriate driver is completely
empty. And Windows XP came pre-installed on my PC (a Toshiba
Satellite 3000 laptop), so I can't even get it off the disk, cos there
isn't one. Can anyone help me find the missing printer driver, which
is supposedly on my hard drive somewhere? The guy at the Toshiba
Helpdesk was no help, he just said "Oh yes, I've heard of this before"
without suggesting what, if anything, could be done about it, and
tried to pass the buck onto Microsoft!

Did you try to get the driver from Canon's website?
Yeah, they don't have an XP driver up there, as they say it is already
installed and you should just be able to access it using the Add
Printer wizard.
