No preview with .mpg files !

Hi everybody,

On my computer, .MPG and .MPEG files are played very well with Windows Media
Player. The problem is I do have a preview of .MPEG files (as well as .avi
for instance), but I don't have any preview of .MPG files. This preview
appears when you put the display settings of the folder in a type a do not
know the name in English (sorry, I am French).

If I rename a .MPG file into .MPEG, it works. I should probably add the .MPG
extension somewhere in the registry among the ewtensions that are to be
previewed. Anybody knows where I should do that ?

Thanks a lots for your help,

MALESCOT.

The problem is I cannot change that fact in the registry ;-) !

Go to REGEDIT and then HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mpeg

Export this key to a .reg file and edit it in notepad replacing any
"[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mpeg" to "[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mpg" without the
quotes, then save and re-import this reg file
