No power-up on battery

After installing XP-Sp2 my laptop will only work on AC power. If I try to
boot on battery it won't! Has anyone found a patch/update for this problem??

Visit the support web site of the manufacturer of your
laptop and see what's available from them. I have had
no issues with Dell notebooks and SP2.

I've tried that, they tell me that substituting my hard drive with another
that has XP-Sp1 the computer and battery work perfectly! This was done
yesterday. They say that they have come across this with various Laptops and
that it's something in Sp2 that is causing the missmanagement of battery!
