Recently loaded SP2. The new version of Windows Media Player MP10, I assume.
Now none of my A/V files play with sound.
We are talking about the following kinds:
-Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wma),
-Movie File (.mpeg), and
-Video Clip (.avi)
All these worked before the install and now they do not. Was the latest
version of Windwos Media Player that is embedded in the SP2 instgall missing
some Codecs? Alternately, could I de-install MP10, and install MP9... but I
notice (1)that there is no de-install file with the new media player so I
would have trouble getting it unloaded out of the registry -and I don't want
to go there if I can help it; and, (2) I read somewhere that with SP2 loaded,
it disallows MP9 anyway.
So how do I get my A/V files to workwith the latest vesion of Windows' Media
Player?
